Top 5 fun creative arts and crafts ideas to make with your family

Family day is around the corner and the purpose of this day is to celebrate the importance of family and to strengthen our connections.

One of the greatest ways of bonding with our family is by being creative and crafting together. That said, I thought it will be fun to share my top five inexpensive, simple, and fun art and crafts you can make with your family and friends for all ages. 

1. Painted Rocks

If you love to paint, then this is the project for you! All we need for this project are rocks (with a clean surface that allows for painting and writing) of your choice and acrylic paints and permanent markers. If you are having trouble coming up with ideas, then this site will be a useful guide for you! The goal is to just be creative!

2. Handmade Greeting Cards

Create handmade greeting cards for any special occasion, whether it is for mother's day or valentine's day, with the use of paper and any medium of your choice — paint, pencil, pens, etc. 

3. Handmade bookmarks

Reading books is a huge activity in my household. Another inexpensive creative option is to make your own bookmarks! This can be simply made with paper and the medium of your choice — markers, pens, paint, watercolor, etc — to decorate the bookmark. 

4. Polariod photo magnet

Capturing memories via photos is another important activity in my household. You can turn those memories by creating cute inexpensive magnets for your refrigerator. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to make these yet, but I am super excited to make them soon!

Here is a tutorial you can follow if you are interested (you can substitute photo paper by printing the photos out from a computer while resizing the photos to a miniature size)! 

5. Snow globes

This Christmas my older sister and I created our very own snow globes. It was quick and easy to make, however, the materials can be a bit pricey — due to the mini figurines, but most of them can be purchased via your local dollar store. You can make snow globes with any theme of your choice!
